He was predeceased by: his parents, Flavio Escobar and Maria I. Castaneda Escobar. He is survived by: his wife Guadalupe Cabrera Escobar (Lupita); his children, Adelita Aguirre (Eli), Joe Alejandro (Jackie) and Jaime Alejandro; his siblings, Delia E. Vera (Noe), Santos Escobar (Juanita), Felicitas E. Castillo, Jose Hector Escobar (Anita), Rosemary Cervantes, David Escobar, Mario Roberto Escobar (Melida), Alfredo Escobar (Lupita), Eddie Escobar (Frances), Jose Escobar (Oralia), Yolanda Escobar (Adan Alvarez) and Cynthia Escobar; and his close friend Buster. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, December 13th 2024 at 12:30 PM. A rosary was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the Rudy Garza Funeral Home (1702 E Harrison Ave, Harlingen, TX 78550). A Mass was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Queen of Peace Catholic Church (1509 New Combes Hwy, Harlingen, TX 78550). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Restlawn Memorial Park (14166 US-83 BUS, La Feria, TX 78559).
