He was predeceased by: his parents, Felipe Cardenas, Sr. and Josefa Leal Cardenas; and his siblings, Eufemia, Lupita, Esequiel, Alberto, Rodolfo, Miguel and Israel.
He is survived by: his daughters, Elizabeth Cardenas (Fred Esquivel) and Anna Bertha Cardenas; his grandchildren, Antonio Bustos, Jr., Sasha Bustos (Jose Delgado), Serena Esquivel, Federico Esquivel, Jr. and Tabitha Cardenas; his great grandchild Serenity Delgado; and his sister Esther Cisneros.
