He is survived by: his children, Javier Perales and Melissa Yvette Perales; his grandchildren, Melba Rose Rodriguez and Ethan Izaiah Gonzales; his mother Esther Atkinson Perales; his siblings, Blas Perales Jr., Elena Ramos, Cruz Ramirez, Roberto Perales, Manuel Perales, Ondina Díaz and Graciela Guerra; and his close friend Crispina Ramos.
