She was predeceased by: her parents, Porfirio Sánchez and Tomasita Sánchez; her brother Andres Sánchez, Sr.; and her daughter Monica Cardoza. She is survived by: her husband Jaime A. Guzman Sr.; her children, Jaime A. Guzman Jr. (Jennifer) and Veronica Guzman; her siblings, Arturo Sánchez (Melinda), Elsa Smithwick, Esther Urrea, Eva Gonzalez (Oscar Sr.) and Norma Ortiz; and her grandchildren, Jamie Lee Cantu-Horne (Devon) and Justin Rodriguez, Jr.. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Buck Ashcraft San Benito Funeral Home (1400 E Business 77, San Benito, TX 78586). A rosary was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (1001 US-77 BUS, San Benito, TX 78586).
