She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Merced and Gregoria; her sisters, Evelina, Romanita McCoy (Shirlon), Elizabeth Cantú (Carlos), Sylvia Cusco (Pablo) and Blanca Barrera; and her caregiver Sheena Roffino. She was also cherished by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
As an expression of sympathy in lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to St. Mary's Catholic Church and Elma E. Barrera Elementary in Santa Rosa, Texas.
