Ella Katheryn May Obituary
We are sad to announce that on January 6, 2025, at the age of 93, Ella Katheryn May (Harlingen, Texas) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid adieu to Ella Katheryn's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Ella Katheryn has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her husband William Edward May (Eddie); her brother Sam Sparks; and her parents, Whitt Sparks and Vera Sparks. She is survived by: her child Jayre Dianne May-Vicars (Buster) of Bayview; her grandchild Annlyn Alysse May Podojil (Logan); and her great grandchildren, Ella Katheryn Podojil, Luke Reid Podojil and Lillian Kay Podojil of New Braunfels. She is also survived by her family after becoming a grandmother.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the 8th & Harrison Church of Christ (801 E Harrison Ave, Harlingen, TX 78550).
In Lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in her name to Shriner's Hospital for Children, 8th & Harrison Church of Christ Harlingen, or any no-kill animal shelter or animal rescue of your choice.
