He was predeceased by: his parents, Remigio Escobar and Longina Canas Escobar; his sons, Remigio Escobar and Guillermo Escobar; and his siblings, Emelia Murillo, Roselia Escobar-Rodriguez, Aurelia Renteria, Micaela Rangel and Crescencio Escobar.
He is survived by: his wife Luisa M. Escobar; his children, Alicia Escobar, Eduardo Escobar, Jr. (Joann), Javier, Lourdes Escobar Casares (Robert), Melissa E. Castaneda (Eddie) and Juan Carlos Escobar (Antonia); and his sister Margarita Sauceda. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren.
