It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Dora Elfida Montalvo of Harlingen, Texas, born in Garciasville, Texas, who passed away on January 21, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Eriberto Montalvo (Eddie); her parents, Dora H. Guerra and Fidelio G. Guerra; her sister Nelda Garza; and her in-laws, Samuel and Rafaela Montalvo.
She is survived by: her children, Miranda Ramos (Carlos) of Lyford, Orlando Montalvo (Lisa) of La Feria and Ornaldo Montalvo (Iris) of College Station; her grandchildren, Micah Ramos (Kelly), Travis Ramos, Jake Ramos, Carly Ramos, Shiann Moraida (Noe), Syerra Montalvo, Ethan Montalvo and Sadie Montalvo; and her siblings, Olga Saenz (Ruben), Isabel Jones and Fidelio Guerra (Cynthia) of San Antonio, TX.. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Rudy Garza Funeral Home - Harlingen (1702 E Harrison Ave, Harlingen, TX 78550). A rosary was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, January 26th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
