She was predeceased by: her parents, Jose Rodriguez and Julia Peña; her husband Leovaldo C. Longoria; her daughter Patricia Laura Garcia; and her siblings, Paul Rodriguez and Matilde Elizalde.
She is survived by: her daughters, Cecilia Ann Contreras (Joe), Analida "Annie" Longoria-Salinas and Sonia Yvette Longoria; her grandchildren, Jennifer M. Contreras, Christopher J. Contreras, Ricardo O. Salinas (Kassandra), Mickael N. Salinas, Leovaldo Diaz Longoria, Marisa Ayala (Oscar), Rolando Garcia and Arianna R. Garcia; her great grandchildren, Mia, Kaylee, Addison, Raegan, Bella and Brooks; and her sisters, Beatrice Laney and Elma Escamilla. She is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Rudy Garza Funeral Home - Harlingen (1702 E Harrison Ave, Harlingen, TX 78550). A rosary was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Departing the Funeral Home (1702 E Harrison Ave, Harlingen, TX 78550). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church (313 W Buchanan St, Harlingen, TX 78550).
