He was predeceased by: his parents, Jose Angel Cumpian and Maria Guadalupe Castillo; his wife Martha M. Cumpian; and his brothers, Lazaro Cumpian, Enrique Cumpian and Felix Cumpian.
He is survived by: his children, Fred Cumpian (Alicia), Angel Cumpian (Rosa), David Cumpian Jr. (Beatrice), Marta Laura Cumpian, Rodolfo Cumpian (Reyna), George Cumpian (Mari), Raquel Cumpian and Priscilla Layos (Jose); and his siblings, Francisco, Jose Angel, Vicente, Gilberto, Urbano, Josefina, Gabriela Guadalupe and Yolanda.
