He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Charles Alton and Alberta Jones (Johnson); his wife Jesusa Lopez Jones; his stepdaughters, Sulema Villarreal (Aaron) and Gloria Guerrier (Marc); his sons, Charles Jones III, Christian Jones and Robert Jones; his sister Kitty Ogg (Paul); and his uncle Victor "Vito" Buenrostro. He was also cherished by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and in-laws.
