He was predeceased by: his former wife Irene Escobedo; his daughter Anna Bertha Escobedo; his granddaughters, Irene Marie Villarreal and Christina Otero; and his siblings, Sara, Trinidad, Celia, Enedelia and Guadalupe "Lupe".

He is survived by: his wife Yula Escobedo; his children, Albert Escobedo (Laura), Sara Rendon (Roy), Cesario Escobedo, Jr., Sonia McCormick (Scott) and Janie Mendez (Ernest); his grandchildren, Jennifer Raynaldo, Nathaniel Rendon, Albert Escobedo, Jr., Elizabeth Escobedo, Michael Rendon, Crystal Villarreal, Troy Mendez, Irene Mendez and Giovanni Villarreal; his great grandchild Morrison Rendon; his great great grandchildren, Katherine and Kaleb Carrasco; and his brother Robert Escobedo.
