She was predeceased by: her father Bill Chavez; her grandparents, Leonel M. Gonzalez and Lidia Zapata Gonzalez; and her aunt Josefa Gwendolyn. She is survived by: her mother Diana Gonzalez; her sister-in-law Karen Chavez; her sister Wendy; her niece Ramayah R. Cantu; her nephew Jeremiah E. Cantu; her grandparents, Belinda L. Rodriguez and Alberto Chavez; her stepgrandmother Genoveva Gonzalez; her aunts and uncles, Olga Gonzalez, Juan Gonzalez, Alberto Chavez Jr. (Virginia), Andrea Hinojosa Garcia (Alonso), Anna Rocha and Tina Gonzalez; her brothers, Brian Chavez and Jonathan Chavez; her brother-in-law Ricardo Cantu; and her uncles, Nasario Gonzalez, Leonel Gonzalez Jr., Johnny Gonzalez, Hector Chavez (Becky) and Alonso Garcia.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Trinity Funeral Home (1002 E Harrison Ave, Harlingen, TX 78550). A prayer was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Trinity Funeral Chapel (1002 E Harrison Ave, Harlingen, TX 78550). A burial was held on Sunday, April 6th 2025 at 12:15 PM and at 3:00 PM at the Las Rusias Cemetery (Rangerville Rd, San Benito, TX 78586). A funeral service was held on Sunday, April 6th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Trinity Funeral Home (1002 E Harrison Ave, Harlingen, TX 78550).
