It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Aurora G. Vargas (Harlingen, Texas), who passed away on January 9, 2023, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Rosario Gonzalez and Elena Peña Gonzalez; her former husband Heraclio Salinas; and her husband Amado Vargas. She is survived by: her children, Reynaldo Salinas (Mary Francis Teniente), Homero Salinas, Paul Anthony Salinas (Irene), Elena Abbott (Steve) and George Michael Salinas (Jenny); and her grandchildren, Lisa Tesitor, Paul A. Salinas, David Salinas, Regina R. Salinas, Alexa N. Salinas, Daniel Abbott and Mia Salinas. She is also survived by sixteen great-grandchildren.
