He was predeceased by: his parents, Angel Barrera and Julia Barrera; his siblings, Nuevo León, México and His; his daughter Mary Lou Trunnell; and his granddaughter Judy Trunnell.
He is survived by: his spouse Ofelia C. Barrera; his daughters, Rosa Barrera of San Benito and Mirna Tamez (Daniel) of Lyford, Texas; his grandchildren, Antonio Correa of San Antonio, Steven Trunnell (Judy) of Harlingen, Stephanie Trunnell of San Benito and Viviana Tamez of Lyford, Texas; and his great grandchildren, Jordan Correa of San Antonio, Hannah and Gabby Ella Trunnell of Harlingen.
