She was predeceased by: her parents, Jose Guzman and Maria Gonzalez Guzman; her husband Ramiro Ramirez; her son-in-law Thomas James; and her siblings, Antonia Garza, Roy Guzman and Florencio Guzman.

She is survived by: her children, David Ramirez (Julie), Zeke Ramirez (Olga), Elida Aguilar (Pete), Linda, Maria Del Carmen Zuniga (Ernest) and Missy Marie Wedlund (Mark); and her sisters, Connie Zamora and Viola Cavazos. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren.
