It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Angelica Lugo of Harlingen, Texas, who passed away on April 20, 2025, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Angelica had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Angelica may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her husband Adolfo Lugo Roman; her children, Nancy Rivera and Adolfo Lugo, Jr.; and her grandson Eric Lugo. She is survived by: her children, Awilda Vera (Antonio), Norma Gulyas (Stephen), Miriam Torres (Claudio), Louis Rivera, Ana Munoz and Edwin Lugo (Cindy). She is also survived by her 9 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 4 great great-grandchildren, and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 28th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the James Paynes Funeral Home (204 Hill Ave, Aurora, IL 60505). A wake was held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 at 10:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM.
