She was predeceased by: her husband Feliberto Ortiz; her parents, Demetrio Sosa and Francisca Sosa; her siblings, Carmen, Margaret, Gonzalo, Demetrio Jr. and Maria; and her pet Bruiser.
She is survived by: her children, Feliberto Ortiz Jr., Rogelio Ortiz (Laura), Daniel Ortiz (Natasha), Magdalena Rangel (Ruben) and Christina Barrera (Rudy); and her siblings, Jesus, Alonzo, Estrella and Guadalupe. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Heavenly Grace Funeral Home (26873 White Ranch Rd, La Feria, TX 78559). A rosary was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 at 9:00 AM and at 1:00 PM at the Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church (1313 W Buchanan St, Harlingen, TX 78550). A burial was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Heavenly Grace Memorial Park (26873 White Ranch Rd, La Feria, TX 78559).
