With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Alvino M. Benavides of Harlingen, Texas, who passed away on November 26, 2024 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Encarnacion Benavides and Angelita Benavides; his wife Petra D. Benavides; his daughter Leticia B. Galvan; and his siblings, Elida Benavides, Delia Herrera, Dora Degollado, Encarnacion Benavides Jr. (Coton) and Porfirio "Pilo" Benavides.
He is survived by: his children, Belia Zavala (Lionel), Ricardo Benavides (Evelyn) and Minerva Sanchez (David); his grandchildren, Priscilla Flores, Jr. (Raul), Melissa Zavala (Javier Castillo), Leonel Lee Zavala, Jr. (Lindsay), Richard "Ricky" Benavides (Adriana Ceja), Daniel J. Benavides (Melissa Ballin), David Sanchez Jr. (Lisa Rodriguez) and Samantha A. Sanchez; and his son-in-law Lionel "Leo" Zavala. He is also survived by twenty great-grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren, numerous nephews, nieces.
