He was predeceased by: his mother Maria Marta Leyva. He is survived by: his children, Destinee Leyva (Jared Davis) of San Marcos and Shyanne Mares (Christian) of Harlingen, Texas; his granddaughter Yerina Mares; his stepfather Jesus Gonzalez of Harlingen; the mother of his children Sandra Flores of Harlingen; and his siblings, Robert Leyva, Rosie Leyva, Rumaldo Vasquez, Sandra Reyes, Joaquin Gonzalez, Sonia Gonzalez-Vargas and Maria Francisca Gonzalez. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
