He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Murray and Bertha Lee Murray; his grandparents, Nolan and Emmie Fried; his siblings, Sandra Ikelman and George Murray; his niece Jessica Murray; and his aunt Christine Pope.

He is survived by: his wife Jeanette Talley; his sons, James Murray (Tammy), Tommy Murray and Yancy Murray (Jaime); his grandchildren, Samantha Ritchey (Kaleb), Haylea Murray, Peyton Murray, Madyson Murray and MaryAnn Murray; and his brother Shane Murray (Wendy).
