He was predeceased by: his parents, Pearce Van Quarles and Ethel Corine Quarles (Brown); his brother Tommy Quarles; his in-laws, Mitchel and Joyce Spillar; his uncle Junior Brown; and his aunt Mary McDonald (Billy).
He is survived by: his wife Tammy Quarles; his daughter Stephanie Barreda (Anthony); his grandchildren, Sierra Strickland (Thomas), Jacob Bailey and Emmalee Barreda (Riley Cook); his great grandchildren, Madison and McKenna Strickland; and his siblings, Van Quarles and Debra Owen. He is also survived by several in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews.
