He was predeceased by: his parents, James Jackson and Lucille Roseman; his wife Evelyn Jackson; his daughter Gwendolyn Crosby; and his brothers, P. L. Jackson and Curtis Jackson.
He is survived by: his children, Shirley A. Chapman (Mose) of St. Louis and Denise of Killeen, Texas; and his close friends, Fred Hamilton and Rosella Buren. He is also survived by six grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
