It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ilona Helga Eckrich of Harker Heights, Texas, who passed away on January 8, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Heinrich Voges and Mathilde Voges; her grandson Jeremy Backstrom (Howard Eckrich); and her daughters, Debra Williams and Sheila Lucas.
She is survived by: her husband Howard Eckrich; her children, Gilbert Eckrich (Wanda), Robert Eckrich and Amy Eckrich; her grandchildren, Neal Eckrich, Kyle Backstrom, Kristopher Backstrom, Joseph Lucas, Sharon Bash, Kayla Eckrich, Roxanne Graves and Ashley Lucas; her great grandchildren, Chloe Bash, Madeline Bash, Pearson Eckrich, Adrian Eckrich, Penelope Backstrom and Sebastian Graves; and her friend Inge Castleberry.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to an animal shelter or rescue of your choice.
