She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Levi McMurtry and Laura Elizabeth Williams McMurtry; her husband Kirby William Barrett; and her siblings, Jim McMurtry, Kenneth McMurtry, Homer McMurtry, Lawrence "Bubba" McMurtry, Oralene McMurtry, Ruth McMurtry and Thyra Weaver.
She is survived by: her children, Kenneth Barrett (Brenda), Sandra Sweezy (Bobby) and Shirley Walters (Marshall); her sister-in-law Ruth Martin; and her grandchildren, Chad Barrett, Kimberly, Houssaye, Bradford Barrett, Jennifer Ferrell, Jill Epperson, Lance Walters, Kevin Sweezy, Natalie Boatwright and Olivia Sharp. She is also survived by twenty-seven great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
