He was predeceased by: his mother Georgie Lee Henry Raymer; his wife Martha Kay Kervin Mitchell; and his brother Ray Mitchell. He is survived by: his daughter Amanda Kaye Mitchell (Eric Rhodes); his siblings, Edgar Mitchell, Ernest Mitchell and Bonnie Cline; his grandchildren, Morgan Rhodes (Wade Williams), Kelton Rhodes, Baylee Mitchell (Jarrett Brock) and Derk Mitchell; and his great grandchildren, Everlee Rhodes, Daniel Brock and Abby Williams. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Sterling Funeral Homes - Dayton (602 N Main St, Dayton, TX 77535). A funeral service was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 at the Palms Memorial Park (2421 N Hwy 146, Dayton, TX 77535).
