She was predeceased by: her father Thomas Owen; her husband Larry Simons; her granddaughter Kirsten Simons; her mother Charlotte Murphy (Hannig); her brother Bernard "Bud" Murphy; and her siblings-in-law, Charles "Buddy" Dalvit, Everett Simons (Jackie), Dale Simons, Lori Simons (DePeel) and Nancy Simons (Miller).
She is survived by: her children, Clay (Sharon) of Lincolnville, KS, Dwayne (Melissa) of Happy, TX and Megan Horton (Dan) of Shallowater, TX; her grandchildren, Carlye Simons (Mandy Calderon) of Eugene, OR, Lauren Picon of Denver, CO, Ty Simons of Westminster, CO, Cacey Sizemore (Luke) of Maize, KS, Emma and Ellasyn Horton of Shallowater, TX; her sisters, Marge Butler (Ted) of La Conner, WA and Marion Dalvit of Hoehne, CO; her siblings-in-law, Harold Simons (Annie) of La Junta, CO, Jim Simons of Pueblo West, CO and Julie Murphy of Sun City, AZ; and also Ruth Elaine Begio of Yankee, NM. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family requests that memorials be made to the Kirsten Dale Simons Memorial Scholarship Fund at Happy State Bank or Swisher County 4-H.
