He was predeceased by: his parent Vicie Self; his sisters, Ruthabea and Sue Sweet; his siblings-in-law, Jessie, Lucille Reagan, Rex, Tony Reagan and Edna Ruth Self; and his nephews, Kyle and Bubba Sweet.
He is survived by: his wife Leva Mae; his daughter Marla (Cary Panzer) of Wingate; his brother Thurman Self of Wingate, Texas; his brother-in-law Sonny Sweet of Blackwell; and his grandchildren, Shelby, Allison of Lubbock and Zachary of Wingate, Texas. He is also survived by nieces and nephews and numerous life long friends.
Memorials may be made to The Shep Community Center of Shep, Texas or Hendrick Hospice in Abilene, Texas.
