He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry "Sunnyboy" Raymond and Martha Lee Cooper Raymond; his former wife Carrie Williams Raymond; his siblings, Famous Raymond (Melissa), James Raymond Sr. (Margaret), Lorraine North (Clark) and Sue Foster (John); his siblings-in-law, James Anderson and Fannie Raymond; and his stepson Terry Williams.
He is survived by: his wife Ethel Mae Lewis; his children, Vera Lynn Williams and Royton Raymond Williams (Kristina); his siblings, Willie James and Ellarene Raymond Anderson; his son Walter L. Raymond Jr. (Camilla); his stepsons, James E. Williams (Paquita) and Rev. Jerald A. Williams; and his close friend Darnell Haskins. He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
