Charles Matthew Minton Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Matthew Minton of Hankamer, Texas, who passed away on October 21, 2023, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Minton and Mamie Ellzey Minton; his siblings, Joe Ellzey Minton, Marlin Clyde Minton and Bernelle Minton Conerly; his niece Dorothy Minton Haley; his nephew Patrick Conerly; his sister-in-law Gwen Minton; and his great grandchild Lorelei Paige Young.

He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Oliphant Minton; his daughters, Chrystal Minton Benson, Tracy Minton Maines and Amy Minton Salvadore; his stepchildren, Susan Broussard, Sharon Hughes and Wayne Hughes; and his grandchildren, Michael Gregory, Billy Maines, Austin Salvadore, Chrystal Johnson, Tina Smith and Shelby Maines.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Minton Cemetery Fund at Whitney Bank in Walker, La.
