He was predeceased by: his parents, Fannie Mayo and Aubrey Mayo; his former wife Betty Mayo; his son Chris Mayo; and his siblings, Bob Mayo, Billie Kaye Hendrix, Aubrey Mayo and Joe Carl Mayo.
He is survived by: his wife Joye Mayo of Hamlin, Texas; his daughters, Kellye (Jim Nye) and Debi (David Himsel); his grandchildren, Candace (Justin Kirby), Marla (Cameron Jordan), Keely Himsel of Baytown and Lindsey Himsel of Leander; his great grandchildren, Ella Rae Kirby, Levi Jordan, Jessi Jordan and Anson Kirby; his sister Emma Lea; and his brother-in-law Larry Burrow.
