He is survived by: his wife Judy Averett of Olney; his daughter Piney Richards of Olney; his son-in-law Roy Richards of Olney; his son Tim Averett of Olney; his brother Arvel Averett of Grandbury; and his grandchildren, Elicia Foster (John) of Olney, Chelsea Moore of Olney and Corey Hughes of Olney. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
