He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Elizabeth "Libby" White; his daughter Stacey Nicole White; his granddaughter Emily Burgess; his siblings, Annette David, Carl McDowell and Phillip McDowell; his father James Milton White Sr.; his stepmother Vera White; and his brother Robert White. He was also cherished by his numerous nieces, nephews, along with many cousins and dear friends.
