She was predeceased by: her husband Lupe Valdez Sr.; her sons, Lupe Jr. and Jesse Valdez; and her siblings, Connie González and Augustine Briones.
She is survived by: her children, Mary (late Joel Salazar), Teresa Duque, Esther (Conrad Luna), Victoria (late Israel Jimenez), Helen (Gary Thomas), Mardy (Henry Alcaraz), Valentin, Sr. (Rita Valdez) and Alfred Valdez; her siblings, Alfred Briones, Carmen (Arthur Mondragón), Trine House Briones and Helen (Robert Escobedo); and her sister-in-law Tillie Briones. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren; 62 great-grandchildren; 41 great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; extended family and friends.
