He was predeceased by: his son Ryon Simmons; his parents, BJ Simmons and Nelda Simmons; and also, Melvin and Katy Gukich.
He is survived by: his daughter Lauren (Rodney Burns); his brother Kevin Simmons; his nephews, Brandon Simmons and Michael Gukich; his wife Camilla; his grandsons, Tate and Beau; his brothers, Jerry Simmons, Vance Simmons (Kim) and Robert Simmons (Lou); and his siblings-in-law, Marian Gukich and Mike Gukich (Mary).
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Welch Funeral Home (4619 Judson Rd, Longview, TX 75605). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Life Celebration® Funeral Service.
Johnny's family has requested that in lieu of flowers, a donation is most welcome to either The Church at Lake Cherokee or the Hallsville Baseball Association PO Box 13, Hallsville, Texas 75760.
