He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Hastings and Laura Nell Peterson Hastings; his wife Marylus Jean Hastings; his siblings, Gary Hastings and Royalyn Whitley; and his great grandchild Cooper Joseph Mannings.
He is survived by: his children, Robert Hastings (Cynthia), Melissa Dutton (Thomas) and David Hastings (Sharon); his brother Lowell Hastings; and his grandchildren, Paige Hastings, Taylor Frates (Joseph), Kayla Hastings, Katelynn Hardaway (Justin), Anecia Davis (John) and Amber Manning (Garrett). He is also survived by four great grandchildren, extended family.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Perry Chapel of Haggard Funeral Home (203 E Clarksville St, Jefferson, TX 75657).
