He was predeceased by: his grandparents, James, Regina Rodgers, R. B. and Charlotte Duty. He is survived by: his parents, Vernon Duty and Kathleen Duty (Rodgers) of Hallettsville; his brothers, Jarrod Duty (Lindsay) of Hallettsville, Randall Duty (Laura) of Richardson and Patrick Duty of Austin; and his nieces, Ryan Duty, Alexis Duty and Caroline Duty. He is also survived by (Goddaughter), and Kate Duty; and his aunts, uncles, and cousins.
