It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Myrtle Ann Hessler of Hallettsville, Texas, who passed away on October 21, 2021, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Magnus and Annie Krause Mertz Sr.; her husband Henry S. Hessler; and her brothers, Magnus Jr., Roger and Harvey Mertz.

She is survived by: her daughter Gail Finley; her sister Dolores Hutchings; her grandchildren, Lori Elsey and Shani Cress; and her great grandchildren, Eliana Cress, Asher Cress, Axel Cress and Emma Wood.
