It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marie Maxine Bennett Hermes of Hallettsville, Texas, who passed away on January 1, 2022, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Maxie Bennett and Mary Evelyn Bennett. She is survived by: her husband Buddy; her children, Kenneth Hermes (Arleen), Frances Hermes Kirkland and Carl Hermes (Brenda); and her grandchildren, Clayton Heinrich, William Garrett Cisneros, Kendra Hermes, Hayden Hermes and Holden Hermes. She is also survived by six sisters; two brothers; and many nieces & nephews.
She served as a homemaker and was an active member of her community as a member of the Catholic Daughters of Americas, Christian Mothers and a volunteer for the American Cancer Society.
