He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar E. Boethel and Zilfa Melnar Boethel. He is survived by: his son Dwayne Boethel (Tanya); his sisters, Margie Opela (Joseph) and Patsy Sims (Gary); his grandchildren, Ashley and Emma Boethel; his niece Lindsay Sims Duty; and his nephews, Garrett Sims, Justin Opela and Kelly Opela.
