It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth Lanell Garrett (Hale Center, Texas), who passed away on March 21, 2018, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Jones and Eunice Jones; her siblings, Virginia Johnson, Wanda Johnson and Melvin Jones; her siblings-in-law, Calvin Garrett and Norma Phinny; and her son-in-law Bill Buxton.

She is survived by: her husband Raby; her daughter Becky Buxton of Plainview; her grandson Matt Buxton of Lubbock; her great grandchildren, Ava, Hudson, Kellen Campbell, Chad Campbell of Shallowater, Sophie, Seth and Shelby Rivas of Lubbock; her brother Marvin Jones (Lorna) of Fort Worth; her sister-in-law Judy Jones of Houston; and also, Amy Campbell and Sammy Rivas of Lubbock.
