She was predeceased by: her parents, H. B. Kennedy and Maggie Kennedy; her husband John McQuien; her children, Larry McQuien and Nelda Laney; and her siblings, Pete Kennedy, Zelda Karpe, Edna McLendon and Katherine Rankin.
She is survived by: her children-in-law, James E. "Pete" Laney of Hale Center and Carol McQuien of Fort Worth; her grandchildren, KaLyn Laney of Austin, Jamey, Ronald Phillips of Lubbock, Pete, Melonie Laney of Austin, John, Kendall McQuien of Houston and Scott McQuien of Fort Worth; and her great grandchildren, Grant, Gavin, Holden Phillips, Clayton, Kendall Laney and Carter McQuien.
