We are sad to announce that on February 9, 2023, at the age of 95, Esther Iona Beard of Guy, Texas, born in Needville, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Anton B. Schmidt and Ida May Dippel Schmidt; her husband Sidney B. Beard; her daughter Amelia Jo Beard; and her siblings, Roy W. Schmidt and Edna Schmidt.

She is survived by: her children, Bonnie Beard of Missouri City, TX, Rebecca Junker (Jim Keller), Sidney Beard III (Sandra Beard) and Tommy Beard of Guy, TX.; and her grandchildren, Wendy Bell of Ventura, CA., Kristin B. Morgan of Houston, TX, Sidney Andrew Beard of Hampton, VA., Eric Junker of Richmond, TX and Mason Sydow of Guy, TX..

Memorial Donations may be given in her memory to Local History Department of George Memorial Library, 1001 Golfview, Richmond, TX 77469.
