Sabrina Joyce (Lamb) Gutierrez Obituary
It is with heavy hearts and tremendous sadness that I announce the passing of Sabrina Gutierrez, 67, a beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend to many. Sabrina passed peacefully in the comfort of her home on December 1, 2023, in Gustine, Texas. She is preceded in death by her mother, Helen Eunice Lemay, her grandmother, Helen Elshire, her sister, Patricia “Patsy” Ruiz, and her brother Thomas.
Sabrina was born in San Francisco at Letterman Army Hospital and raised in Galveston, Texas. She was the youngest of the family; she had two older sisters, Patsy and Sheila, and one older brother, Tommy. Sabrina attended Austin Middle School and Ball High School in Galveston, Texas. The daughter survives her, Sabrina Aguilera; four grandchildren, Desiree, Jasmine, Abel, and Isaiah; and six great-grandchildren, Dominic, Israel, Xavier, Arianna, Dennis, and Elena.
Sabrina was an extraordinary woman of strength and a hard-working lady. Sabrina was an Army veteran; she attended Basic Combat Training in Fort Jackson, South Carolina, and graduated boot camp in 1982. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were very special to her. She had a love for taking care of her home, gardening, crafting, sewing, and a knack for fixing anything.
Losing a loved one is never easy. Losing your mom is the deepest sorrow our hearts will know. Those we love don’t go away. They walk beside us every day, unseen, unheard but always near, still loved, still missed, and very dear. Mom, I love you. You are forever in our Hearts.
