It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rose Burroughs (Gun Barrel City, Texas), who passed away on March 31, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Leroy Miller and Eliza Jane Beal; her husband Floyd Gene Burroughs; her siblings, Done Miller (Duckie), Harold Leroy Miller II (Bud), Sarah Jane Miller (Janie), Lawrence Miller, James William (Jimmy) and Dorothy Frances Miller; her son James Roy Edward Burroughs; and her grandson Mathew Stewart.
She is survived by: her children, Floyd Dewayne Burroughs (Brandie) and Gail Shough (John Maness); her granddaughter Jessica Yma (Alex); her children, Josh Brough, Brent Williams, Jacob Tuggle, Patrick Tuggle, Jason (Kelsey Stuart), Melissa Higdon, Donnie Higdon, Robert Burroughs II (Michelle), Shaylendrea Barret (Breck), Harold Burroughs (Serena), Heather Burroughs, Travis Burroughs, Katherine Burroughs and John Maness 3rd; her great grandchild Aiden; and her grandchildren, Carter, Summer, Devion Jay Alexander, Kadance, Gunner, Lynnlee, Braelee, Charlotte, Gracie, Trenton, Olivia, Stella, Adeline and Kinley.
A memorial service was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Moorhead Funeral Home (750 E Main St, Gun Barrel City, TX 75156).
