He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Johnson and Doris Johnson; and his children, Robert Johnson II and Stephanie Baxter (late Judy Johnson). He is survived by: his wife Teresa Snow; his children, Glen Johnson (Lisa) and Jennifer Kimbrew (Jerome); his grandchildren, Steven Johnson, Matthew Johnson, Glen Johnson, Jr., Adam Johnson, Mary Johnson, Jesse Kimbrew, Josie Flores and Matthew Flores; his great grandchildren, Steven and Kevin Johnson; and his brother Tom Johnson (Barbara). He is also survived by several nieces, extended family and friends.
