He was predeceased by: his parents, Ina Lillian (Mackie) and O. J. Hoel; and his daughter Gina Hoel. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Hoel; his daughter Jill May (Jason May) of Idalou; his grandchildren, Kylan May and Drew May (Felicia Card); his children, Lauren Hartnett (Matt Hartnett) of Wimberley and Jarrod Hoel (Samantha Hoel) of Abernathy; his grandchildren, Maddie Hoel, Jess Hoel and Jaxson Hoel; his siblings, Glenda Riley (Danny Riley) of Georgetown and Mack Hoel (Darlene Hoel) of Gruver, Texas.; and also Ryker May.
