He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Pryce Stewart and Pearl Harper Stewart; his wife Ann Stewart; his son Layne Stewart; and his siblings, Calvin Stewart and Sue Kendrick.

He is survived by: his grandson Dusty Stewart (Lacy Stewart); and his great grandchildren, Dottie Bea Stewart, Pryce Stewart, Theda Stewart and Henrietta Stewart.

Visitation was held on Sunday, March 16th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Oaklawn Baptist Church (4833 TX-94, Groveton, TX 75845). A funeral service was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
