It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lana Hays Peavy of Groves, Texas, born in Oakdale, Louisiana, who passed away on August 2, 2024, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Eugene Hays Sr. and LouL Cedars Hays; and her great grandchild Amelia Burns. She is survived by: her husband David Peavy of Groves; her children, Michael Shane Ward (Stephanie) of Beaumont, Richard Trey Ward of Henderson, David Christopher Ward (Stacy) of Nederland, Jeremy Clarence Adams (Amanda) of Carthage, Jeffry Glen Adams (Daylon) of Port Neches, Christopher Peavy (Ciara) of Hendersonville, NC and Juanita Ardoin (Eric) of Beaumont, Texas; and her siblings, Linda Harris (Pat), Carol Kelly and Gene Hays, Jr. (Lana). She is also survived by twenty-six grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren.
