It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gilbert J. Lege of Groves, Texas, born in Abbeville, Louisiana, who passed away on June 20, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Olite Lege (LeBlanc) and Rudolf Lege; his wife Elvira Lege; his siblings, Pearl Trosclair, Rudolf Lege, Eugene Lege and Eva Brown; and also, Lionel Marceaux, Verna Marceaux, C. B. "Shelby" Marceaux, J. Nedley Lege, Mazie Lege, Mabel Lege and John Irvin Lege.
He is survived by: his children, Gilbert Curtis Lege (Leslie), Craig Anthony Lege (Lisa) and Desire Ann Lege. He is also survived by six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
